Jordan L McGrath is an independent artist, songwriter and live performer based in Portsmouth. His music blends guitar, vocals and live looping to create performances that evolve in real time, where each layer contributes to a unique interpretation of his original songs.

Why I Create

I see music as more than a finished product. I'm fascinated by the creative process itself and by the moments where ideas begin to take shape. Live performance allows that process to become part of the experience, inviting audiences to witness songs as they unfold rather than simply hearing the final result.

Background

Alongside my work as an artist, I hold a First Class Honours degree in Music Technology and I'm currently studying for a Master's degree in Creative Music Technology. My background in recording and production informs my songwriting and performances, giving me a technical understanding that supports the creative process.
